FAQs
If you’re based in Seattle, do you offer services outside of the Seattle area? We offer Virtual Plant Coaching for folks outside of Seattle.
Can you guarantee that my plants will be successful? Plant health is heavily influenced by historical factors like watering, pest exposure, soil quality, light exposure (or lack thereof). Because of the varied experiences that your plants may have had in the past, we cannot guarantee the success of any single plant.
I have an indoor plant project in mind that’s not listed in your Services. We’re curious! Use the forms above to let us know about your project and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

about us
Hello and welcome to Rachel’s Indoor Plant Care!
Rachel started Rachel’s Indoor Plant Care (RIPC) in 2025 after many years of friends and family asking us (Rachel) for help with their indoor plants - and, of course, designing, maintaining, and rehabilitating (only a few times..) our own indoor plants.
Rachel is a molecular biologist by profession with a love for indoor plants.
Rachel and Sam (husband & plant-lifter) have a house full of plants, big and small, with 20 (and counting) in our living room, alone. We share the space with our loving Golden Retriever, Murphy.
testimonials
“Rachel's love and caring for houseplants is infectious. Bringing her in to take a good look at the location and condition of my struggling plants transformed my semi-neglectful, 'survival of the fittest' approach.
Rachel gave a good trim to a few spindly, very leggy plants that hadn't had enough light for years. She suggested new locations for these plants and put the cuttings in water where they are now sprouting roots, soon to be added to the original container for a fuller, more lush plant.
Who knew that indoor plants needed dusting?! Rachel put on soft gloves, applied a small amount of Neem oil and carefully removed the long accumulated dust and general crud from my plants. They are a true, beautiful green now and look so much healthier and happier.
Rachel was so positive and enthusiastic about my plants, and as mentioned, it was contagious!
I highly recommend Rachel's Indoor Plant Care to finally see your plants at their best.”
— Janet
“Rachel helped us repot some of our larger plants that desperately needed new homes including clippings that had been in water for almost 2 years! She also helped us prune a plant with some VERY long and unhealthy vines and propagate him.
We had a great experience working with Rachel. Not only was she easy to work with, we all learned a lot about plants and she answered all the questions we had. Rachel's insights were very appreciated and she has made our plants feel healthier and more at home.
Rachel repotted a Monstera of ours that was desperate for it. In 4 months it has sprouted several new leaves that are taller than any of the previous leaves. Clipping and trimming of our viney plant has caused it to grow a lot more leaves and we even have some offspring propagations that we have given to our friends.
We had a blast working with Rachel and can't wait for new projects with her!! We would recommend her any day!! “
